The Marcsmen - 2008 Youth Chorus Champions

Marcsmen Youth Chorus

We’ve posted a new video that answers a question that we commonly hear from our audiences: How did the Marcsmen get their name and what’s with the unique spelling?

Most people don’t know that there’s actually a geographical connection to the spelling of the name, The Marcsmen. The image shown here is from the 2008 Barbershop Harmony Society’s inaugural Youth Chorus competition, which the Marcsmen won. The group was formed for that competition, but they had so much fun that they wanted to continue as a full-fledged chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society.

Watch the video to learn all about how the name and unique spelling originated.
